Easter Memorials

We will be accepting names for the Easter memorials until March 31st.  Names legibly printed may be dropped off or mailed to the Parish Center Office, 514 High Street, Medford.  The names will be listed in the Easter bulletin and a Mass offered for their soul.  A donation of $10 per family name is greatly appreciated.

Lent Information

Lenten Regulations:

Abstinence from meat is to be observed by all on Fridays during Lent.

Abstinence and Fasting is to be observed on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday by all Catholics who are 18 years of age but not yet 59.  Those who are bound by this may take only one full meal.  Tow smaller meals are permitted if necessary to maintain strength according to one’s needs, but eating solid foods between meals is not permitted.

Ash Wednesday Masses will be held at 8AM*, 12 Noon and 7PM

*Saint Raphael School students will be attending.

The Light Is On For You- Reconciliation this Lent

The Church encourages all Catholic to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation each Lent.  In additional to our normal Saturday afternoon confession time, Saint Raphael Parish will open on Lenten Wednesdays for confessions beginning March 8th rom 6-7:30PM.  Please take advantage of this opportunity to make a good Lenten confession.  Please also rech out to other Catholics you know that may been away from the regular practice of the faith and invite them to seize this chance to begin again.

Aging With Grace

This learning adventure is a 5 week series, for both men and women will consider aging as a gift.  We will deepen our knowledge and acceptance of self and God in a reflective and freeing way.  If you are in transition, mid-life, a caregiver, facing retirement or just desirous of growth, this series is for you.  Facilitated by Sister Kathleen Hagerty, CSJ, this series will meet Thursdays, April 27, May 4-11-18-25, 10:30-noon.  Registration forms are available at the rear of the Church, at the PArish Center or by request.  Please call Ginny McCabe/Margo Malone at 781-483-1139.

Companions in Christ

Time of prayer for Pastoral Visitors and Eucharistic Ministers of the Sick.  The day of prayer consists of a conference, common prayer, quiet prayer and a time of fellowship.

Holy Week Choir

The Adult Choir has begun its preparations for Lent and Holy Week.  We are in need of all voice types.  Everyone is welcome to join.  We rehearse Wednesday evenings at 7P in the Church and sing every other Sunday at the 11:30A Mass.  A Holy Week schedule will be provided when you sign up.  Please inquire after Masses with Ryan Lynch, Musical Director or email We look forward to welcoming you!


First Communion Fund

As has been our custom, donations would be appreciated to assist economically challenged families with the cost of First Communion clothing so every child is honored.

Donations may be made to celebrate a special someone (living) or be given as a memorial remembrance.  All donations will be acknowledged.  Your gesture will make “happy hearts”.  Please mail or drop off at the Parish Center, 514 High Street, Medford.

R.C.I.A. Program

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults classes are being held on Wednesday evenings at 7PM in the Parish Center.  If you have not been baptized or received Communion or Confirmation and are interested in doing so, please call Father Paul at 781-488-5444, ext. 215.

First Friday Adoration

First Friday Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place following the 8AM Mass on the First Friday of each month and will continue through the year.
