Saint Raphael School Bugle: March 5, 2010
The Week That Was
- The photographers worked diligently Tuesday prepping and posing the students for the Spring pictures. Parents will receive the proofs and then can decide on whether to purchase a package. Please know that next year we will only take pictures in the Fall.
- This weekend is food pantry weekend. Please bring your canned good to Mass with you. Students may bring in canned goods on Monday and we’ll see that they are brought over to the food pantry.
The Week To Come
- Next Wednesday, March 10, is an early release day. Students will be dismissed at 11:30. There will be Discovery that day. Parents should be sure to pack both lunch and snacks for those students going to Discovery. Lunch is not served that day.
- As you know, the testing protocol for the Archdiocese changed this year. Schools will now use the Stanford 10/OLAT 8 tests. The testing was also moved to the end of March. Testing is done in grades 2-8. During our professional development meeting on Wednesday, teachers will learn the new testing procedures and requirements. We will provide you with information next week on the testing schedule. Your child’s test results will be given to you as soon as we receive them. We will use the school results to assess the relative strength/weakness of our curriculum and instruction.
- Attendance for term 2 closes next Friday, March 12. Report cards will be distributed on March 16.
